Today’s Artist Lineup:
Crown Colony- Other side
Who would have thought a musical duo from the Grand Cayman Islands could produce such a surprising vein of Alternative passion and intensity. Leading with one of their strongest releases to date, “Other Side” is enchanting. The soulful vocal delivery by lead singer songwriter, Anthony Verhoeven draws the listener into the warmth of Crown Colonys story. Both the acoustic and the traditional version are powerful and well worth adding to your personal music collection. The song clearly marks an important milestone for the artist who grew up in Hawaii singing Choir and cutting his musical skills after bands such as Alice’n Chains, Sound Garden and Nirvana.
Deadlies – Not 4 You
The Deadlies are entirely new type of surf band, paying homage to the Ventures, Dick Dale and the Chantays as well as the California Honky-tonk sound of Buck Owens and Dwight Yoakam while keeping an under lying presence of the California surf punk scene that brought us the Dickies, Agent Orange, Green Day and Top Jimmy and the Rhythm Pigs. Recently completing a tour with Billy Bob Thorton and his band the Boxmasters at the end of summer after complete taping of the 10th season of their TV show “Creepy KOFY Movietime” (that airs every Saturday Night at 11:PM on KOFY TV 20 in the larger Bay Area). The Deadlies (featuring James Patrick Regan on vocals and guitar & Bob St Laurent on bass and vocals) are also in the middle of a string of recording dates with legendary producer Jack Douglas. the Deadlies have performed over 200 dates last year including tour support for Lisa Marie Presley, The Mavericks, Eric Martin, Shuggie Otis, Metalachi, Blue Öyster Cult, Greg Kihn, the B‐52’s, Dick Dale, Billy Bob Thorton and the Boxmasters, The Protomen & Big Bad VooDoo Daddy at renown venues of The Uptown, City Winery Napa, Buck Owen’s Crystal Palace, The El Rey Theatre, Slim’s , BottleRock Festival, Rockbar Theater, Harlow’s, Cargo Reno, Rogue Theatre, Harris Center, the Catalyst, Six Flag’s Discovery Kingdom and more. James is also a contributor to Vintage Guitar Magazine.
Midnight Clover – Candied Wine
Blending layers of seductive and dynamic vocals over a rich soundscape with elements of grunge and new wave sprinkled liberally with a funky pop sensibility. This band presents a diverse collection of sounds at every turn that echo of the stylistic preferences of PJ Harvey. The high energy and playful spunk present in their performances brings to mind David Bowie and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs while their dreamy element can be traced to The Church and Mazzy Star. Midnight Clover has opened for acts like Orgy, Dramarama, Missing Persons, and Bow Wow Wow. They’ve played numerous venues including the Hard Rock Cafe and the House of Blues. They have also just released there brand new album”Turner” and are currently working on a new music video.
Dark From Day One – Inner View
Inner view is about how people judge you without even knowing you. And how you as an individual refuse to fall into the trap of becoming who they want you to be. It’s about being yourself and being proud of who you are. The common thread that we have in this song as we try to do in all dark from day one songs is to bring to message of positivity, hope and love. *
Slowburn – Tidal Wave
Slowburn is a post-grunge hard rock band hailing from “Brew City” Milwaukee. Their new album ‘The Fuse Inside’ features 95 WIIL ROCK ‘Hit of the Day’ “Tidal Wave”.
Wendell Ray – The Crime
“The Crime.” is a song that is ultimately about passion and obsession. Its crazy the lengths one will go because of a feeling that seemed real. Sometimes we let emotions outweigh rationality and we loose touch with reality; even driving one to the point of going a little mad. When you base your joy and fulfillment on someone else you’ll eventually find yourself empty, lost and searching for something real.
Weathered Wall – Walk Away
Weathered Wall create soundscapes and songs using a whole manner of sound sources, from synthesizers and samplers to feedback loops and signal generators, along with anything else that’s to hand. Born out of The Tower From the 90’s, Via Japanese Whispers and Matured into what is now Weathered Wall….. A Journey leading to experimental electronic and synth music. We create expressions of images, ideas, feelings and thoughts…..transformed into rhythmic sound.
G1ftedMusic – Spend some money
Spend Some Money by Philadelphia Producer and Artist G1ftedMusic (featuring CoStars) is a high energy, universal pop single that anyone can enjoy. The song is available on iTunes. The video is on YouTube now and soon airs on MTV so make sure you check it out. Thanks to all the fans and good energy.
Heather Green – Make me a deal
My music is more of a traditional style of country compared to our country music today. My songs come from things I have been through in life or what my friends may have been through. I like putting the story into song and trap the emotion in the music. “Make Me A Deal” came from the idea of finding someone you love and never wanting to lose them because they make you so happy. You have been torn before and you know that you don’t want them ever to do that to you.
The Band Steele – Tan Lines
Nashville recording artists Bo Steele and Ben Rubino of The Band Steele, have burst onto the country music scene with their debut single Tan Lines! They are creating quite a buzz with their rocking guitars and music, combined with heartfelt country lyrics and unforgettable hooks. Bo Steele was recently featured in the upcoming movie Life On The Line performing an original song and was also nationally televised performing the National Anthem at a NASCAR Race. Few singers have the gift of a voice that is incomparable and uniquely recognizable, and Bo Steele is one of them. He has garnered much acclaim and thousands of fans who are unbelievably moved by his incredible vocals.
