Angels Cut, which fans have dubbed “The Cut,” pay homage to classic rock, with a bit of blues, country, and metal mingled in. Their music evokes the nostalgia of the past, but instilled with an originality that refreshingly parallels modern times. Singer Steph Johnson’s bluesy voice is heavenly influenced by her love for Patsy Cline and Aretha Franklin and helps balance the rest of the band’s various influences, which include Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, and Metallica. Founded and based in Humboldt County, Northern California, Angels Cut is comprised of lead singer Steph Johnson, lead guitarist Mike Molina, drummer Joe Barney, bass player Aaron Mclaughlin and guitarist/founder Utah Blue.
