Fred Lessman & the Backroad Warriors
Song name: Superman-ish
Genre: Americana/ singer-songwriter or alt-rock
I’m a guitarist/vocalist/harmonica/songwriter for Fred Lessman & The Backroad Warriors…. When Fred Lessman talks about his music his eyes light up and the stories begin to flow. Like the time he said he did — or didn’t exactly — play with the famous Eagles years ago in Central Park of New York City. “It was a joke,” he said. “The truth is I was sitting in the park enjoying the music and I started playing along on my harmonica. Then, later, some of my friends started saying ‘Hey, Fred played with the Eagles.’” He laughed. “The truth is people nearby asked me to stop so they could hear the concert. So then it became a sort of inside joke. ‘Fred played with the Eagles!’” That’s the irrepressible nature of Lessman: spontaneous, playful, and yet fully committed to the experiences he’s captured in his music. And now, with the release of his third CD, entitled “3 AM”, his performance-licks have come nearly full circle. Songs, he said, that are “about life – both past and present.
Search for George
Genre: Alternative / Pop
We started in the basement. Then we were huge. Then some other stuff happened. And then we broke up. And now we’re back. search for george rose through the ranks of the Sioux Falls music scene from a three-piece cover band to one of the region’s most popular original acts. Their self-titled debut CD dropped in 1996 to critical and popular acclaim, setting the band on a course that saw them play to packed houses across the Midwest. In 2001 search for george put out there 3rd CD ‘3 minute pop song’, The CD charted in the Top20 CMJ Charts and put us on a 2 year college tour. We then took time off. 12 years!! But I (Mark Dahm) never stopped writing and recording demos in the basement. In 2015, I look at all the demos (65 of them) and decided on the next chapter of search for george. We built a studio to start recording the demos and writing new songs. The Bunker 105 was built in Nov of 2015 and we’ve been busy recording since. https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/someone-single/id1202711284

Song name: WONDER
Music Genre: Soul , Smooth Jazz
It’s a kind of love song about a woman who is always thinking about her mystery man, who drives her crazy in her head. The music was first written here in Perth at my home studio back in 2015 but sat around waiting for the right artist to sing on it. Then I worked with Kenya on one of my podcasts exposing hers and other quality independent artists music. It was then that I knew Kenya would have the perfect vocal tone to fit my track . So I sent her the music which at the time was just a basic neo-soul drum track with some neo-soul Rhodes i was playing. And Kenya told me that she loved it and would love to write the lyrics and sing on it for me . So the rest is history it basically took 2 years in the making until release date of 1st April 2017. Jazzy D is currently working on a number of personal projects which include a Jazz Fusion EP which i am looking to release around October time 2017.
