Today’s Featured Artists:
Zita Barbara – Until We Meet Again
has been played recently on a radio station in Los Angeles after winning an award for “Best Country Ballad.” The award ceremony for this award took place in April of this year at the Los Angeles Rose Bowl. It was a red carpet event complete with limos and Hollywood lights dancing in the sky. I never expected radio play or an award gala. Instead of losing momentum, more good news came as a result of the exposure. Gravity One (music video channel rapidly expanding into gyms, cinemas, restaurants, bars and other venues where music videos enhance the environment) contacted the station after hearing the song play on a Los Angeles station to request the video. Somewhat serendipitously, I just finished a music video of the song made special for A.V.A Live Radio’s Live Stream. I decided to give the music video I made for my Live Stream interview to Gravity One. This rendition strips the song to raw voice, emotion, and piano. If it is accepted, it will be made into a music video playing on a music video channel…and it all started with my live stream interview with A.V.A Live Radio.
STAR OFF MACHINE- Falling Down
Southern California Active Rock Band Star Off Machine (STOFMA) was honored and awarded “Best Hard Rock Band” and “Rock Group of the Year” at the prestigious Orange County Music Awards (OCMA) and the Los Angeles South Bay Music Awards (SBMA) and is quickly finding prominence in the national music scene. Falling down is a fast, driving, pop rock song with a hooky and melodic chorus. Lyrically it deals with a difficult and potentially harmful situation that could be alleviated with the assistance of loyal friends. In the midst of the situation, all the friends are gone and support has perished.
Angela Peterson – John Cougar
Singer songwriter Angela Peterson has returned to Nashville with a vengeance after a successful stint in Hollywood. While touring with her very own Angela Peterson Band in Los Angeles, the diminutive Texan performed up and down the Sunset Strip, including the famed Whiskey a Go Go, Troubadour, Viper Room and Cat Club. The AP band’s west coast tour was punctuated by her headlining performance at the Stars and Stripes Wounded Warriors benefit at the Playboy Mansion. While coming up in Texas, Angela has performed with countless legends of country music, including the king Willie Nelson, Trace Adkins, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley and Gary Allan. Angela has also been a songwriting and producing force; creating over 500 songs while collaborating with some of the biggest songwriter/producers in Nashville while self producing/releasing 9 Albums on her own. Now recording at Blackbird studios and 3GH Productions, Angela Peterson is thrilled to be back, writing, performing and pursuing her passion in her favorite place in the world, Nashville.
Justin Jon Thorne feat. aeronzj – Tinderella
Tinderella is a modern day fairy tale lamenting the snapchat obsessed, swipe left swipe right attitude we have towards romance. Is romance dead? I hope not. I’m Gen X, so this phenomenon is a mystery to me but I dabbled with Tinder and online dating for three weeks and this is my story. London based, roots-tinged singer songwriter who has supported Declan O’Rourke, Brother Dege, Ben Howard, Xavier Rudd and Jeff Lang among others. Justin is currently playing, writing and recording with incredible guitarist, Aeron Z Jones, who features on the Lion’s Den Trilogy of Singles – Tinderella, Haunted Corners and Soul Searching. Aeron is very handy with a lapsteel and scary with an electric guitar! The Lion’s Den Trilogy is available on iTunes, Spotify and Amazon.
Swamp Music- Warrior
Swamp Music Players are a retro futuristic band with a passion for Swamp Rock, Swamp Blues, Swamp Pop and Cosmic Americana. We enjoy the crossroads of the late 1970’s and early 1980’s when good ole Rock’N’Roll was cool again and co-existing with transistor technology. Our art projects have a strong thematic and theatrical edge.Warrior by Swamp Music Players is a Cosmic Americana single with special guest vocalist Matt Franke. The track was recorded and mixed by award winning producer Wynn Gogol utilizing authentic plate reverb. “Warrior” was inspired by a well documented report of a UFO abduction.
Olivia – Skyline
At 16, this Canadian born has embarked on an incredible career with massive success. There is no lack of determination and passion. Her newest EP, Weightless, released May 2016, showcases the powerful impact of self-love and positivity, capturing the essence of who Olivia is as a songwriter and soulful vocalist. Three tracks garnering semi-finalist positons in the Unsigned Only Competition. Skyline is fun, flirty, and refreshing, proving how Olivia’s urban beats and cluby rhythm effortlessly vibe with current pop trends while remaining distinctly youthful. Olivia has found her niche, and an audience that relates to her pop aesthetic and sound that is all her own.
Stefano Giorgini – The Morning After

Scott Hongell – There was you
a singer/songwriter originally from the small western Maryland town of Boonsboro. Growing up in the Appalachian Mountains his first instrument was the trumpet at 8 yrs old which was around the time of his first TV singing appearance. Scott went on to play trombone and then picked up guitar as well. Scott plays bass, lead and rhythm guitar, drums, and sings his own back up harmonies on his recordings. Scott started playing professionally while serving in the Marine Corps in North Carolina. Shows in the Far East followed and several US states. In 2016 Scott decided to release his first full length album called “Phoenix”. “There Was You” was his first radio release and spent four months on the Billboard charts peaking in the top 10 and spun in the UK, France, USA, Australia, Russia, among other countries. “There Was You” is a song Scott wrote about the thought of I’ll be damn if I am gonna fall in love after all I have been through……..but…..There Was You. Scott has also been a featured artist on Reverbnation for his yet to be released song “Whiskey Talkin”. It’s been a great 2016 and the “Phoenix” is rising.
Johnny Breen – Hearts Away
‘Hearts Away’ is about being yourself and standing together in the face of adversity to follow your dreams. Johnny Breen’s music is about striving for that feeling of freedom by being who you are, keeping a positive frame of mind, wanting change for the better and perhaps most importantly standing together. Johnny, a singer songwriter from Mt Charlton, (near Mackay in Australia) performed ‘Hearts Away’ at the ASA National Songwriting Awards, held in Sydney.
Blacklight – Touch the stars
Upcoming EDM producer, songwriter, & performer who loves doing it wherever he can, whenever he can, and as much as he can! Originally hailing from the Chicago area and growing up during the explosion of House music in the 80s, it’s no wonder his tracks frequently have a Classic Chicago House feel intertwined with new vibes and sounds. He currently resides in Omaha, Nebraska and recently started his own label, Plurred Vision Records, which allows for flexibility & creativity with music & releases. LOTS of great tracks in the works so stay tuned!
Matt MacKelcan – Here’s to the Night
With a genuine combination of American soul and an upbeat pop-rock style, Matt has emerged as one of the go-to indie front men in the southeastern U.S. Early on, I knew I wanted to approach the song as 4 different scenes intertwined with a nostalgic feel, capturing or recounting those times when we’re smack in the middle of certain moments. The chorus pays tribute to that good ole ‘carpe diem’ message. It’s an enjoy-the-time-now kind of anthem, live it fully as you are with whomever you’re sharing the ride. It acknowledges that in our quest for happiness and fulfillment, there will be bumps in the road but it is all these moments collectively that make up the stories of our lives. So don’t get too bogged down or you’ll miss the big stuff!
Lee Perreira – Red Water Callin
My song ‘Red Water Calling’ is a dirty southern slide guitar driven song about walking in on your cheating woman and what happens next. I love dirty bluesy sounds and feelings so this song is right up my ally. It was written and recorded with Joshua Monroy in Venice Beach California and released on my CD Melodies for Marie which is available on iTunes. I hope you enjoy and check out the other tracks like Running From the Rose which has a music video on my website!
Mountain Road – Overflow
“The perfect blend of current meets classic,” Mountain Road is a dynamic four-piece country/rock/blues band that has wowed audiences on a local, regional, and national level! Based out of Harrisburg, PA, Mountain Road has quickly made a name for themselves with their original music, which possesses a timeless quality that aims to please every listener’s ear. Additionally, the band performs their own renditions of a jukebox full of high-energy, recognizable, country and southern rock standards. Mountain Road has opened for numerous national acts such as Big & Rich, LoCash, Lonestar, Joe Nichols, David Allan Coe, Frankie Ballard, Blackberry Smoke, and more! If you are seeking a fresh sound that appeals to every generation, then look no further than Mountain Road! Overflow is about being out – in a social setting – (at a bar/night club) and seizing the moment…letting loose…letting it all “overflow”…and ultimately connecting with someone you want to leave the party with. Whether you’ve been married for years, are currently in a relationship, or looking for love (or even a one-night-stand), it’s a song that everyone relates to. We all want to have a good time and someone to share it with.
Kaylin Roberson- Run Back To You
Run Back to You is a love story that speaks of someone who can’t get enough of a long lost lover. When times get hard she turns to him and only him for comfort, but for some reason he’s never there. Constantly running in circles, she looks for him but fails to pin him down. A bit obsessive, she never gives up chasing after his love, meanwhile he’s running in the opposite direction. We all have that one person we can’t stop chasing after and ironically we also have that one person we avoid. Enjoy the comical, heartthrob story of Run Back to You written by Kaylin Roberson.
