The Zzips – Been dreaming of the wrong things
It was in 2014 that 3 gentlemen met in an OCD support group, and came together through their obsession for music and a dislike for odd numbers. Finding they all had similar tastes in music (and no future plans in place, which is something of a first for suffers of their calibre) they decided to focus their energies into a band. Music therapy sessions became a haven for these 3 inspired musicians. They had access to a shared guitar (which was wiped down exactly 14 times before each use) while they used whatever they could find to create a beat. It would be wrong to say their meeting place didn’t inspire their song writing with songs like ‘Bad Habits’ and ‘Therapy’ all of which it has been said are darker then they look at first glance. The zzips have an alter ego, called h2so4. (dance floor tracks.) They won a USA Gavin Award for best alternative single (back in the day) as well as getting synch with HBO, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under & Queer as Folk as well as some films, games and adverts.

Barley Station – Like Destiny
Genre:  Rock / folk/rock/pop
Reflected Emotion: playful and upbeat, with a tinge of romantic ‘Like Destiny’ is as one reviewer put it “an infectious and mellifluous blend of both instrumental and vocal brought home with a folk/rock blend truly consistent to what is now known as ‘The Barley Station Sound’.” It’s the song you want to play when you’re spending the day out by the lakeshore on a sunny day and then again in the evening during a quiet romantic sunset. With two full length albums followed by a slew of singles, this group with prolific songwriting and led by Randy Wayne Belt is working on it’s third full length album due out by end of summer 2017.

Infidels Records artists UniversalDice is a most unique band; just beneath the surface of their accessible, melodic and beautifully played and arranged modern/classic rock sound lay an ambitious and rich lyrical content that challenges pop music orthodoxy. There are few band that not only make you think, but can take you to another place musically while they force you to re-think what was once taken for granted.  The songs, written and produced by Gerry Dantone, are always relevant and usually intensely emotion and often unique in the rock music arena.
