The direction this song is leading me in life is renewal, forgiveness of self and others, integrity, faith in God and family, healing, which has allowed me to rise above excuses, martyrdom, and justification through entitlement. This has opened my path to where I feel like a Goddess.

This song is about fighting the urge and temptation to cheat. I’ve developed a sweet, bluesy and sultry sound around a subject matter that’s only too close to my heart.
I wrote it during a different time of my life, – when I was celibate, and single, but dating (off and on) a guy whose friends used to call him up to get him jealous about attention I’d get because he was very expressive. While dating him, I never had the wandering eye because loyalty is everything..well, skip a few years ahead, I was sitting in a Sexaholics Anonymous group, because I was no longer celibate. I learned the tools I needed to recover and a year later I married (not the same guy).
We’re currently going through an uncontested divorce, co-parenting/cohabiting. I brought the song out before admitting to the fact that I developed feelings for others and started relationships, without the paperwork being finalized, so honestly, as hard as it was to admit, I was committing adultery.

The direction this song is leading me in life is renewal, forgiveness of self and others, integrity, faith in God and family, healing, which has allowed me to rise above excuses, martyrdom, and justification through entitlement. This has opened my path to where I feel like a Goddess.

The Voice…
In this song, I’ve been vocal training and under the mentorship of the Nashville legend, Buzzy Orange, to ensure my vocals are lasting. I used to blow my chords after each performance due to lack of technique. We’re currently getting to get in the studio to drop a cover that shows my vocal improvement and I couldn’t be more excited.

“This is finally MY voice, not me trying to sound like someone else – which is how I’ve had problems in the past!”

So my sound is being set, my look, we’re really going through total artist development – for a working, soon-to-be-single mom.
The studio…
Currently, it’s in Buzzy’s Studio and my own clinic. I think of the harmony line first then I write lyrics then the melody. From there, I find the producer to bring it to life as I describe the instruments and what they do. Long process…

Family..
Lolololololol….I have a 5 year old that I home school, currently teach adults at nights, and have a medical massage business……

But, seriously, leverage as MUCH as I can!

“Don’t worry about not having a place in the musical spotlight. That person who is the flavor of the month, won’t be perfecting their craft, so when they blow their chords, it’ll just be the next person in line until that person blows their chords…ouch….but true… “

NASHVILLE. ….
The scene is as popping and growing, varied as a bowl of trail mix! But! One very important note I received when I first came to town – this is a SONGWRITING town. On a regular basis, songwriters are celebrated here..This was where I learned about our rights as songwriters. Fans love their celebs, celebs walk around without fear of being rushed by paparazzi and stalking fans. Big Acts come to perform, but the people want to have the intimacy.
