{Behind The Music} Daisy Clark on Worlds Away

My original songs take inspiration from personal situations or people/situations around me, almost like mini stories.

Song name: Worlds Away
Music Genre : Acoustic Folk Pop
The new single was inspired by two people I know and the struggle of their relationship. The song lyrics portray a change in a relationship between 2 people throughout the song. My original songs take inspiration from personal situations or people/situations around me, almost like mini stories. I like that listeners are able to listen to a song and make their own interpretation of the story allowing them to relate to the song.

Lots more original songs I’m writing and have written that I’ll be performing at festivals this Summer. Can’t wait to show everyone my songs both new and old.

I live in Cornwall…
and the music scene could definitely be better. Of course it isn’t as great as some other places in the UK but I think it’s getting better. For example, we have lots of festivals, some very big ones with amazing artists. Also I know a lot of amazing, talented musicians from Cornwall!

Music business…
I don’t think I’ve experienced enough to know all the pros and cons of the industry. But I just want to focus on being as true to myself as possible and not let anyone change me as an artist! I’m very particular with what I want my songs to sound like and how they are written so creative control is very important to me, and I feel some people in the business will see making a profit from the music as appose to what the artist feels is right! However it’s amazing to connect with like minded people and to have so many supportive people around.

I would love to have 5 minutes alone with…
Probably Taylor Swift. Mostly, just to see how crazy her life is. I have had just a tiny glimpse of success in music and that was pretty crazy and hard for me to handle, so I’d love to see how she handles it all. Also, I loved her as a songwriter, especially her older country music.
