Imagine that…

This new album is an eclectic collection of Old School Feel R&B. It talks about love and loss. Change and affirmation of the human condition. I believe the love of another person is the most important commodity the human race will ever posess. Some say you can’t touch it, but it surely can touch you. You can’t physically see it, but you know when it’s there.

The Music…
You’ll hear some influences of Jazz, Funk and even Blues. This is chillin with your boo or taking a drive music. I’m very proud of this collection of work.

I’m from Philadlephia ,Pa born and raised….
Though I’ve live many other places over the years, it’s good to be back in my city. The one drawback to living here though, is the lack of an R&B scene for artists like myself. There aren’t many places to get your music heard by a live audience in this town, unless you want to pay to play. That just doesn’t make any sense to me. There are great places to go like Chris’s, South, World Café Live, The Hard Rock, but they don’t cater to my genre. It’s disheartening.

Music Business..
It’s been an uphill climb for me in this business. I pretty much got a late start, getting side tracked by lots of things and activities that are bad for you. If you know what I mean? What I’ve learned is talent is just not enough. You’ve got to have patience, thick skin, you’ve got to be teachable, and you need capital!!! Listen. I’ve had two songs hit the AC/Top 100 on the FMQB charts with national airplay. My first single “Give me your love” went to #32, and is still in the Top 100 after a year! The last one, “Enough for two” got to #44. I’m hoping this next single, the title track from the “Imagine that” album does even better. With all that being said, I’m not even close to where I’d like to be in the hearts and minds of Old School R&B fans. I’m not jaded. I love being a part of this industry, and being a member of “The Recording Academy” is an honor, but this business is beast!

Inspiration…
I would really love to have time alone with Donald Fagan, from Steely Dan. I admire his ear and mind. The work he puts out is undeniably, some of the best music and quality recordings of our time. Genius…
