“There is only one way to be unique and that is to find your inner voice and twist it a little bit more.” – Esse Quam Videri – Sweden @EQV_band
See Napoli or Die…
The song is about the day you run out of inspiration, what happens when the spotlight no longer shines on you and the bucket list is empty . Sometimes that feeling comes as you get older.
Esse Quam Videri – Experimental folk rock band
We are a three piece collective, experimenting with lots of instruments and genres. We have various musical backgrounds so the songs tend to take on a life of their own, once they’re thrown into the sessions. Jimmy, Esbjörn and Isabelle are the founding members of the band.
We live in a city called Örebro in the heart of Sweden. The scene is full of great local bands. There are Lots of opportunities to play live at festivals and restaurants. We like to hang out at Heavens door which is a small café / second hand / art gallery. We like to try instruments that we can’t really play. On the album there will be musical saw, theremin and banjo for example.
There is only one way to be unique and that is to find your inner voice and twist it a little bit more.
To be able to do what your heart beats for and to put your time and energy to it.
Swedish band Esse Quam Videri has now released their first single. Two years ago the members found each other and formed the band.
Since then much has happened, new music has been created and the band has developed its sound. they themselves describe their music as experimental folk rock spiced up with lots of vocal harmonies.
They strive to make new personal and original music inspired by the 60´s and 70´s musical world. Their interest in using unusual musical instrument often gives their songs an original character.
On the single ‘See Napoli or die’ for example the bassplayer play the charango, a folklorian instrument from South America.
