My single “Backyard” is…
about my life situations and the causes from it. People will judge you and say whatever they want and don’t really know you. like you ever did some shit that looks bad but its more to the story? My backyard is my mind, body, and home. If you can’t talk to me and listen, get the fuck out my life… I was going through a lot and got too much shit from people who didn’t once think to talk to me about it first. So, one day I just started writing and this song came about. There you have it, Real life situations.

New album..
You can expect real life things that you experience every day in life on the Upcoming “Before Dan 2” Album. I made sure I opened up with this body of work. Just to get closer to the people and let them feel everything I’m saying. This is my favorite piece of work so far because its open. There is so much fairy-tales in music these days. I have to be real in this, no matter what. My sound is like no other and you can’t compare me or tell me I sound like someone. This is a great chance for people to see that as well as listen to someone just like them versus a fake.

I live in Milwaukee, WI…
born and raised. Our music scene has grown strong over the last couple years, but it is also segregated. It’s like you have one side focused on one lifestyle then you have another side focused on another lifestyle. All together though I feel Milwaukee will be everywhere soon. I pay attention to it a lot and just watching everybody grow as artist is amazing. I’m just glad to be a part of history.

Music business…
I strictly do music for the love of it, even if I wasn’t going for a career I still would be doing music. I do research and study the business. I’m trying to master it. It can be tough. Some pros are networking and experiencing life in a whole different perspective. Just the thought of having a whole crowd of thousands say the words to my song amazes me. I might break down the day that happen, LOL. I honestly can’t wait for that shit. As far as cons, there are some of those too. You never who’s trying to fuck you over and sometimes things may not work as you want them too. This takes up a lot of time so it’s hard to balance your personal life and your career at the same time. As an artist, I understand this more. But like dealing with relationships and friendships, others don’t understand what it takes and the sacrifices you have to make. You lose a lot of people because of this but you gain so much more. Finding the balance is the biggest con to me.

I would love to have 5 minutes alone with…
man, this is hard as fuck to be honest LOL. Probably, Chance the Rapper, simply because that guy is the poster boy for doing it by yourself. Huge amount of respect for him. He won a Grammy being independent, that’s unheard of. I feel like I would get a lot of knowledge and positive energy from him. Salute to chance out here making a way just like anybody else. He believes!!!
