GETTING TO KNOW AUSTIN MALONE – KIDKILLZ
by Jacqueline Jax host of A.V.A Live Radio
When my mom was diagnosed with cancer…
I realized life is too short to not go for your dream. I see my mom in pain, going through the worse times. I wanted to make her proud even know she was already, but I need to show her that I will do what I love to do and that is music. I won’t give up till it’s achieved, that’s a promise.
We at War…
It’s about the government, to the corruption that’s going on in our country. I’m tired of hearing about it, it’s time to speak about it in my music. I want everybody to hear what’s really going on in our society today.
I speak about is the truth, I want to be different, and I want to take my genre of music to a whole new level.
Realizing the potential I have to write inspiring music is a lot to carry. I just never felt that I could speak about something that’s so pure.
I`m working on my mixtape as of right now…
making sure that everything is mixed and mastered to the fullest. I don’t want it to be just anything, I want it to take off. My mixtape will be strictly about the government and my life, I don’t like to sell my music starting out, I like to keep it free to stream and download. I just want my music to be heard, and for people to understand where I’m coming from.
I live in Piqua, OH…
The music scene around here is not very big, It’s a small city where only a handful that has made it. I like hanging out with friends and family when I’m not working, I usually try to stay busy promoting my music in some way. More people that hear that always makes me happy. Tell me about one fun thing you like to do that can be music or non-music related.
All I have to say about that is I will never sign to a label deal, unless they won’t control my music. I write what I want to, I speak the truth, and I’m not stopping that. I will keep making music about life struggles and nothing else that’s a fact.
is great for music exposure. I haven’t had really any problems, maybe first starting out when there was so many opportunities I had and the time it took to get it all done.
Singles vs an album…
I feel the same about them honestly, I can’t really say too much because I haven’t released an album yet, But I released many of singles.
I would love to have 5 minutes alone with…
Kevin gates, because he talks about the struggles that he faces in life. He’s actually saying something that’s meaningful instead of made up things. That’s what I want to see more for our genre, there’s not to much of us honestly.
I am most afraid of…
Losing my family, they are my biggest support system in my life. They keep me motivated to keep going with my music, even threw the roughest times. They inspire me in every way, when I wanted to give up, I couldn’t because they wouldn’t let me, I have a gift, I want this world to know the truth behind this nation.
My heart is which one of my singles…
that was released not too long ago. It was played on Kiss 104.7, which is a big step I feel because it was played on the radio to over millions of people nationwide. So to know all the people heard my music it makes me almost not believe but it actually happened.
My over all goal for my life & career is…
To just know I came along way, went through a lot of obstacles to get there. That I put in a lot of hard work to get where I’m at now. Even if I don’t go anywhere i wouldn’t be mad, just to know that I actually did something and least some people heard what I had to say is all that matters to me.
3 Ways that I challenge myself and how each one moves me forward towards my goal.
1) Take the word (Cant) out of my vocabulary.
If I do that then the thought would not come to my mind to give up on my dream.
2) Spend less time with your music and more with family
You will become less stressed of what’s going on with your music you’ll become more relaxed and focused.
3) Write ideas down on what you need to make your music better.
Every idea that is wrote down will make me more skilled during recording or writing a new song.
