Song name: Country Party
Music Genre/ category : Country Rock
Country Party is about having a good time and letting loose. It’s the perfect summer time, turn it up, windows down kind of a song. It’s from the perspective of a city boy who’s gone a little country. This song took about 5 years and three different chorus hooks to get too this final recorded version. I’m glad I kept changing it because I like this version the best.

To me it’s all about having a good time. I love to write fun upbeat music. Songs that make people smile. There’s so much negativity going on in the world these days it’s nice to listen to a song and get away from it for a while.

Chicago…
I was born and raised in the Chicago land area and still live here today. The Chicago music scene is mainly geared toward cover bands. There is not a lot of support for artists playing original music. Very few bands have come from the Chicago area and made it onto the national scene. Because I’m so passionate and love writing and singing my own songs, I keep pushing and pushing forward fighting for the dream. I’ll quit when I’m dead.

The music industry is…
a very hard business to figure out. It’s such a complex puzzle. There are so many highs and lows and ups and downs. For someone who is fighting for the dream it can be very emotional. It’s a great feeling to hear someone say they love your music but it’s a hurtful feeling to hear someone say you suck.

I would love to have 5 minutes alone with….
To be honest. I know the answer most people would expect from me would be someone like Bret Michaels of Poison. The truthful answer would be my Grandparents. They are both gone now but I think about them all the time. They were the sweetest people I’ve ever known. Love them and miss them.
