Band Name: Power Of INTuition
Song name: Paint a picture
Music Genre:: Pop/rock
This song is about…
The song Paint a Picture is about feeling the need to capture a moment of beauty. The kind of beauty that comes from true love and affection, from feeling the world around us and the power of life it contains. It’s like catching a glimpse of a deeper meaning, and the trying to hold on to it.
The lyrics were written on night while I was watching a movie on TV and suddenly felt like writing – my lyrics often start that way. In about 10 minutes, I had written down the lyrics and went down to my studio in the basement to record it. The first draft of the song was finished the same night.
My music is…
Power Of INTuition is my solo project, where I write the music I feel like and express my own ideas. I try not to set up limitations resulting from a specific image or music style. I guess my image is being a person of change, always seeking out new ideas. My sound is a bit retro but I’m always trying to give it a personal twist.
I live in…
I live in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is a beautiful city with a lot of great musicians making great music. The musical scene is very diverse, and I listen to all kind of music from rock/pop through jazz to classical music. I prefer the intimate atmosphere of a smaller club or bar. One Danish band, which I really enjoyed seeing live recently was L.I.G.A. They have so much energy in their performance and music.
What defines “Success” to you..
Success to me – when it comes to music – is making songs that people can relate to. If I touch the heart of just one person, it is a success. Of course, like most musicians, I love to get my music out there and have it played a lot. When I get positive comments from other people, it really makes my day.
What piece of music advice forever changed your way of thinking
I think the most important advice came from my father: There isn’t a right way to make music. If the music sounds good and you can feel it, it is good.
