Texas Storm…
While I won’t reveal the details, Texas Storm is about sex. I wanted to tell a very sexual story with powerful imagery and I couldn’t think of a better way than to describe the way thunderstorms develop and behave where I live in the Texas Panhandle.

The Music…
Some of the most important things I want listeners to realize about my new album is, firstly that it is meant to be listened to in its entirety, the full album. There are some surprises when listened from track 1 to track 10 and I HIGHLY recommend putting it on repeat so it starts over after the last track. Trust me on this.

Second, each song has a surface story, a secondary deeper story and some even have deeper meaning beyond that. So expect to hear some amazing musicians and something that can be played in the background for enjoyment or something to be very intimate with in order to reveal the deeper messages.

Amarillo Texas…
The music scene here is amazingly rich with talented musicians and several venues that support the local bands and solo artists. One venue that really gets behind our local artists is the historic Golden Light Cantina on old Route 66.

Music Business..
I’m excited about the music business of today. There are so many indie bands and artists out there putting out amazing music. There has never been a better time to be indie – social media and other technologies allows for artists to do what they love and connect or create with their unique fan base like never before in the history of music.

Inspiration…
I would love to have 5 minutes alone with my music hero Sting. He’s the only artist that I get all “fan boy” over. I’ve been a fan of Sting and the Police since the 80s and of his solo career since it’s inception. I love every song, every lyric and every note that he writes and performs. If I only had 5 minutes, I’d probably just stare at him unable to speak, frozen. I would  need a good hour before I could start really taking music.
