Episode #281 : A.V.A Live Radio Behind The Music with Jacqueline Jax
GETTING TO KNOW ROBBY THE ELF
by Jacqueline Jax host of A.V.A Live Radio
I would love to…
have everyone hear my music, understand the repression of elves, & eventually, have each child, every Christmas, all leave a cookie for an elf. It’s clean rap music, wow, that’s a first. The music is made according to what chord I sing and rap in, and the rhythms are all different, so is the instrumentation. None of my songs sound the same.
I have done clubs, but not anymore. I’ll be in the Greer Christmas Parade and Spartanburg Christmas Parade in South Carolina. I focus now on home parties, corporate events, schools, churches, and hospitals. I try to find people who need perking up and attempt to make them smile.
Influencing and motivating others. Helping someone. I was asked to go to an orphanage once for 6 kids. There was no money to pay me, but the kids never had a good Christmas. I said, “Let’s go.” When I got there, the kids asked me about Santa. I said, “Let’s call him.” I took out my cell & called. I told Santa that I knew he wasn’t expecting a call from me and he may be busy, but if he had a minute, I had some kids that wanted to talk to him. Santa said, “Put ‘em on the phone!” I hit the speaker on my cell and said, “Ya’ll talk to Santa, I’m going to get a cookie.” When I came back, he had them singing Jingle Bells!
This song started like most. I sing to my animals. It might be silly at first, but I come up with rhythms that if I change the words, could be a song! Lots of songs have been written about Santa, but I wanted people to know what he does in the off season and how much effort it takes to prepare. That’s all in the first verse and the second is about when he took me along.
