This song is about me growing up really just the changes in music. My New album is ” Burning Red” it’s a mixture of ” Country Rock/Old Country” I suppose a lot of the songs are born from the changing times and moods in me.
I live in the U.K County of Buckinghamshire a town called Beaconsfield, it is very rual round here 18 miles from London Town. The music seen is quiet , a few Pubs gigs thats really it ! In my genre ” Country” the U.K is far behind the U.S.A we have half a dozen internet radio stations and one hour a week from the BBC not good the chance of being selected and heard is remote. The club seen in Country is also sparse probably ten in the U.k as a whole.
I have been playing and singing writting songs for a long time! To be honest with the introduction of streaming I feel it’s as Don Mc clean said ” The day that music dies” no chance of indie artists getting a fair play now. The rich are getting richer the indie artist bank rupt!!!! Sad really they have devalued our love to .0009 of a pence streaming payment if your lucky to get.
I would love to have 5 minutes alone with…
My idol would be Elvis I would ask for a duet be fantastic. The artists from the time of Elivis J Cash all did an apprentership, they learnt there trade! They sang from hard times, from poverty, I love the sound of that simular to old ” Blues” I love all sorts of music rock n roll, Blues, Pop and of course Country all the old style. I do listen to young contempory artists in my genre too. But to be honest when the songs finished I couldnot tell what it was about.
