Song writing starts on a piano. I hear the riff/chord progression in my mind then get the lyrics – first verse, chorus. Sometimes the rhythm comes first because I find that after drum pattern has been developed everything falls into place. The 2nd verse is usually the hardest. I am a huge fan of bass line also. Putting into word what I cannot speak as sentences. Releasing my EP Supernatural is a new journey. It gives me a chance to introduce myself to people lyrically and sonically so they get a sense of who I am and I learn what they are receptive to.

My music is…
my way of expressing myself. Putting into word what I cannot speak as sentences. Releasing my EP Supernatural is a new journey. It gives me a chance to introduce myself to people lyrically and sonically so they get a sense of who I am and I learn what they are receptive to.

Once a song works on the piano, production begins. Moog setting (synthesiser) is one of my favourites but the message of the song determines style of production. I usually work with one producer.

My experience on “The Voice” :
I was selected to the “Will I Am” team. It was an amazing experience. I loved that you got real advise from the judges right when your working.

I was given the best advise from “Will I Am” who said, you can’t stay in one place or your comfort zone. You have to always challenge yourself and grow as an artists. In the end when I was in that situation, I was extremely nervous to try new things but you get in this bubble where everyone is pushing themselves to be better so you just say a prayer and jump in.

Balance..
To be honest I don’t really balance it well. I struggle to make time as I have a full job as well as doing music. I guess every artist has the same issues because making great music takes alot of time and dedication but we keep working at it moment by moment.  You just find the time when you love it.

Best advise..
A good song can come from anywhere, it doesn’t have to have all the bells and whistles but if it works on the piano, it can work as a song.

I live in…
Southampton, UK. The music scene here is diverse. There are rappers, DJ’s, very talented musicians and singers. It is a place you may not think to look for musicians but you don’t have to look very hard to find talent in Southampton.
