Since I figured I’d be honest coming into this,
I have been listening to rap since I was a kid, particularly Eminem, and for one particular reason that is now my life purpose (of course done in my own way), to inspire and relate to others, show them that there’s someone else doing worse, but that as bad as things are they can come back from it @codecsyz

Since I figured I’d be honest coming into this,
I have been listening to rap since I was a kid, particularly Eminem, and for one particular reason that is now my life purpose (of course done in my own way), to inspire and relate to others, show them that there’s someone else doing worse, but that as bad as things are they can come back from it, it’s not about going back to who you were, it’s about embracing your scars, and piecing yourself back together, there’s no starting over, but you can start again as long as you never stop, and you can learn from it all.

“01 | It’s Okay In a Day”

Imagine going through something hard enough to break you,
losing the person you love the most, realizing you are a burden and a source of damage for those who care about you, and how much you’ve hurt everyone around you because you wanted attention, the guilt, the self-hate crowds you, everyone telling you have so much potential, her believing in you, accepting you despite all your issues, because you’re too afraid to let go of everything you went through years before, the violence, rejection, you’ve always been an outsider, and eventually you even manage to find you way into hurting her, this girl, that did everything she could, so smart, so damn beautiful, the best person you’ve ever met, and skip down a couple months later, today, she forgets to answer your messages, and you realized this is the way all the people around you were like, and you’ve been like that to all of them, suddenly the shrink can’t even help you, suicide, depression, drugs, alcohol in the morning, and your parents figure it out soon enough, when you blacked out and woke up 5 hours later, you couldn’t get the smell out of your body even after a bath.

Intervention, antidepressants, but your mind couldn’t take it anymore,
something else takes its place though, that other voice that kept pushing you through, and that at the same time told you are worthless, it takes your place, because you’re gone, you died and came back, you’re someone else, today is your birthday, and your gift, is a genius mind, drowned in demons, your name, Is Connor, and this, is your story.

Loss, depression, everything coming down on you,
to the point where you can’t recognize yourself, and there’s no other way to see it, it is that way, you fucked up, but, you have two choices, either you save yourself and everyone the trouble of your pity and end it, if you’re really that deep down into your shit, or, you pick yourself, and keep howling.

This particular song took about a month to write and re-write,
the original version which lasts 8 minutes 30 seconds and has 8 verses, this song is my magnum opus, everything I’ve been through has been there to make this statement, I re-recorded and rewrote the guitar riff about 4 times, recorded all the verses 3 times, changed the drums about 5, and re-structured and rewrote the equivalent of the whole song about 6, it’s the first song I ever recorded entirely.

The Wilderness [LP] is my first music project and mixtape,
I have been making music for about 2 months, of which one was solely the creation of this first song, it’s essentially a diary, to the point where we could have an interview or just listen to all of it as soon as it’s out if you wanna find out what my life is like, the difference, is that I use a mix I’ve been crafting between rock and rap, to create the right mix and sense of empowerment, the most important part of the album is its purpose, if it helps anyone, essentially, by getting distracted, relating or finding an answer, I can calmly say I have fulfilled in my life purpose.

MXCT (Mexico City),
it’s mostly pop and reggaeton, nothing I enjoy, rap is mostly out of the question safe for a very small number of people, and anything other than you listen to other than radio stuff is just unknown

Clubs like Ragga, Walther, etc. And a kabillion house parties

I’m glad people like us are here to bring some variety
and depth to an otherwise shallow art form that is today’s music, in the biz itself, I’m enjoying the fact that people can now make names for themselves, it becomes a level playing field, especially with labels having a thing against creativity and individuality.

It is incredibly hard to get noticed starting out, and making a loyal fan base,
hearing a tree fall in a forest is as hard as it sounds, so I’m just glad my sound is easily recognizable

That is literally what my music stands for,
I turned my weaknesses and my darkest secrets into music, and then made it so that they had the purpose to help anyone going through tough times, honestly after figuring out how to do that, nothing feels as hard to me.

Eminem… NO QUESTION…
In a way I owe him my career, he is a lyrical genius and a motivator, he got me through the toughest times, he taught me anger has its best use in the music, and music is your outlet, today it’s what makes me decide between living or not, so yeah, thanks em.
