Band Name: Dolla Bill

Song name: Old Schoolin’
Music Genre:: Hip Hop/Rap

This song is about…
Got some West Coast vibe, smooth backing track, metaphor and dope lyrics…

My music is…
a blend of hip hop/rap that is smooth, lyrical, tells a story, creates situation and flows over a carefully “hand picked” backing track…

I live in…
Raleigh, NC. somewhat eclectic. There’s country, hip hop, blue grass and some rock and Top 40.

What defines “Success” to you?: To me, success is realizing a vision, dream or endeavor that one really believes in and is willing to do the work for…win or lose. The fruit of that success can be earning a living doing one’s craft, engaging with others in their common interest or art form and helping others to achieve their or vision or endeavor as a mentor…

What piece of music advice forever changed your way of thinking?
Get a career first. Make a living. Get a life. Don’t let the life I have slip out from underneath me in the pursuit of my dreams or endeavors. Am I willing to starve for my craft? Can I take criticism?

Am I willing to stand by my music when everyone else is saying “no.” Am I willing to go one more round? Do I quit before the miracle? Do I wanna keep going, keep trying a little more than I wanna give up? Where’s my heart at?

These are the questions and realities I’ve had to face as an artist…
