Multi- Genre Music Creator JJRichiee on Get Down Keeping People Intrigued

We are so sad to have to announce that JJRichiee has passed.

He transitioned on 4/09/2018 and will be laid to rest in his hometown of Milwaukee, WI on 4/22/2018.

While this is a very difficult time for his family and all of us here at the A.V.A Live Radio Music Community with this sudden and very unexpected passing, his music will definitely live on.

JJRichiee was not only an artist, he was also unique soul and we will all miss him dearly.

No, the journey doesn’t end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.”

Band Name: JJRichiee

Person Interviewing: Joshua Richardson

Song name: Get Down

Music Genre:: Pop/Top40

This song is about…
People being free to get down on the dance floor. Song that gives people that old school disco feel. The music I create is for everyone with no specific division of race, age, demographic or culture. Making music that a wider audience can relate to and enjoy is my focus. As an indie artist today, it’s important to establish yourself as a multi- genre artist so I don’t have a specific genre of music that I create, I just make music that sounds good to me. Hopefully people to continue to be intrigued by my music as I explore various styles of music.

The music keeps me focused as I get most of my musical ideas when I’m not looking for them. Music has always been my dreams and it’s in my veins so it will always be a part of me.

My process involves the melody and then I make the beat. From there it depends on the song whether the lyrics come first or not, it all depends on what I’m feeling at the moment. My favorite piece of equipment is the microphone as it motivates me to create masterpieces.

I live in Atlanta where the music is different from Milwaukee where I’m from but I’m able to use both musical experiences to help mold me as a artist. I’m able to combine sounds from both the North and the South.

Favorite quote:
James Brown was quoted as saying ” Does it look good, does it feel good then why argue with the ears God gave you”. This quote inspired me to push the limits because some of the best art/music created in history was the least understood.
