Tidal Wave is about how we experience life and what goes on around us. There are so many obstacles that we all have to face on a daily basis. Even though there are so many things “crashing down” around us; we can still be lifted from the ground and still come out on top.

My music is symbolic of life. I want to have a deeper meaning behind the lyrics that people can relate to. It’s not about the music for me; it’s about who I can help with the words.

My current direction in my music is different from years ago. Its been amazing to work with others and collaborate with different songwriters on this track. It really helped me open up to inwhat I wanted to say and think about my own lyrics.
A lot of what I’ve been working on these last couple months has been a more of a singer/songwriter vibe and not so synth driven like my past work. I like both sounds; but if we want to look at things realistically. I have to split the difference and be more vulnerable in music and have my voice be heard; then start being unique and different.
My process starts with a concept. I just start writing whatever comes to mind that is associated with the topic. Then I tend to start with a hook and work my way out. I want to make sure the main concept is represented to make sure it will work. Each verse is like answering a different question; helps guide the flow of the song. Once I have lyrics written out, I take it into a studio with other songwriters; and we start with a beat and let it flow. Mess with melodies.
With working a full time job; I still sit down to eat. Being able to sit down even once during the day sets out some boundaries of balance. I work in a holistic/wellness pharmacy so this tends to be preached to us and clients. Another key to balance is to stay hydrated so you stay refreshed. I also sleep in naps; which means I tend to be up at random hours. So I get a lot of quiet time to just write with no interruptions.

” When words fail, music speaks”. Always pops up for me. I have it mounted on my wall in my room as well. Sometimes putting your feelings into music helps you let it go.

I live around Boston so the music scene is pretty busy on a daily basis!
