Music Genre:: Singer/Songwriter/Christian
The unconditional faithfulness of God’s love, healing and freedom…it inspires a new song of my heart. It also is about the truth that is the key to unlock the chains of our heart, whether that’s fear, anxiety, depression or other chains, is right in front of us because his hand reaches out to us always… we just have to receive that key – Perfect Love which sets us free.
My music is…
an expression of the powerful healing, freedom and love I have experienced in my life and a deep desire to fulfill my destiny and leave a legacy to those who I have the privilege of knowing. In a world broken with so much pain, division and insanity, it is critical that we know how to return to true peace and love, which in my opinion, can only happen through faith, less judgment, and true forgiveness.
“Every album or project should always be better than the previous one – it should be a measure of growth.”
How do you think this release represents your current direction..: This last album release, Where I Belong inspired me to grow to new levels of writing and being involved more in the arrangement process with my producer. But it also helped me get even better at my piano skills – the first of my 5 albums where I did ALL of the piano and the synth parts too. Out of that I am now in the process of finishing an all-instrumental album which is 10 original piano songs, some of which are accompanied by strings.
Where do you create your music?: At home in my living room with my baby grand piano.
How do you stay focused and balance creating with life..: Priorities…always having to get back to my priorities which are my husband and family and then my music. Also taking care of myself is super important, including exercise, eating well and getting decent sleep. After all, if we don’t have good health and if we don’t take care of the ones we love, then there won’t be much of a reason to do our music or whatever is our passion.
I live in… Seattle….lots of very talented musicians in the Pacific Northwest
