I started a local movement called “Defeat The Label” which aims to suppress the social labels we place on all people. Race, gender, religion, financial status, etc. I think this release is special because I am very open about my issues dealing with obstacles and struggles that I face daily. I believe this brings an awareness to the issues and let’s people know that everyone goes through them.

I have a piano, which I play almost everyday. I love to play and to improvise with vocals and keys. Also I write almost every day. Whether I am sitting down on my bed, or even out about my day, when something pops in my head I write it down. One of my favorite things to do is to write hundreds of lyrics over a long period and put them together in a song. This way I can see them come to life. I have a few producers I work with, mostly people I trust. The music business can be very shady.
so it can be difficult at times. But, you make it work when you love to do it. I try to stay very organized and prioritize assignments. Creating is a huge part of my life, so if I’m not doing school work or going to the gym, that’s all I’m doing.
Actually it was recently! One of my favorite artist, Andy Mineo, released an EP called “The Arrow”. I have always struggled with knowing if I’m good enough to make it in the music world, and just picking at his brain gave me the confidence to just go out there and give it all you got.
“If they don’t like it then I’ll turn up by myself”
That’s basically my motto when making music.
Columbus, Ohio. Cleveland when I’m out of school. I love the music scene here! Obviously it’s no Tennessee, but theres so many opportunities with local artist who want to make an impact. That’s the beautiful thing about this city. It’s filled with so many different talents and capabilities, you never really know what to expect. Some of the best producers I’ve worked with live here.
