Within my music, I try to create a unique blend of clean, warm, and colorful tones that complement my voice. My songs are multifaceted instrumentally, and lyrically I like to tell stories and share life experiences. My sound reflects both folk and indie rock, and I also use classical based melodies for many of my piano songs.

This song is about how my brother fell in love and met his wife in Galway, Ireland. Within my music, I try to create a unique blend of clean, warm, and colorful tones that complement my voice. The songs I create are multifaceted instrumentally, and lyrically I like to tell stories and share life experiences. My sound reflects both folk and indie rock, and I also use classical based melodies for many of my piano songs.

My music is a nuanced sound that bends genre with deeply resonant lyrics and uplifting swells of rock. Musical influences include Neil Young, Iron & Wine, King Crimson, Elliot Smith, and Sufjan Stevens.

Creating music is a passion for me. It is a blessing to be able to share music with people through today’s technology and music platforms. Since my first album release “All His Days” in Fall of 2016, I have had as much as 10,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. My five song EP “Hello, Again” was released in Winter of 2017, and I plan to keep writing and producing as long as I can.

I do not do this for hopes of fame, I do it because I have a genuine passion to create. If I ever got to a point where I could do this full time I would, but I am not there yet financially. So far it has been an awesome ride!

My first album “All His Days” was produced by one of my best friends Chris Dorner. We recorded and produced most of the work in his bedroom. For technical aspects of the album such as tracking drums and mastering, we used Ham Bone Production out of Lynchburg VA. My second album “Hello, Again” was recorded and produced by Tim Riordan, owner of Glass Village Studios out of Madison Heights VA. Tim is also the lead singer of the band Atlas Rhoads. I would not be where I am today if were not for Chris and Tim.
As a full time teacher, it is a challenge to find the balance of creating music and working full time. Having summers off and other breaks throughout the year are nice benefits. It gives me time to do things like go on tour or produce music. I teach music and physical education at my current school, and also teach guitar and piano lessons.

“The next five years are going to come and go no matter what you do, so just do the best you can.” That advice came from my favorite musician, my dad.

I currently live in Roanoke VA. Many of the singer songwriters and bands here fall into the folk Appalachian genre, which I love! There is also a lot of alternative country which is starting to grow on me. The indie music scene here is growing every year.
